First Encounter

Back when Skyworld was populated by angels it was a common practice for parents to send their children to meet the host goddesses as soon as they could walk. Medusa never cared for the tradition but it never failed to delight Palutena to meet Skyworld's next generation. This shy angel child was particularly special and Palutena couldn't help but become personally attached to him, especially when she noticed his flightless wings. Getting him to come to her might be a challenge at this point, but given enough time the two would quickly form an inseparable bond.

This is another one of those picture ideas I've had for a while but haven't made for one reason or another. Before I go any further I'm going to explicitly state that the design for young Pit is NOT my own! The artist who originally created it was and you can check out where I got the design here:
Childhood pit-kun
It was just so adorable I had to use it in a picture, so here's what I threw together. Child models are risky for me and I'd say this is the first time I've ever made one successfully. Originally I planned for Medusa to appear in the picture (since she co-ruled Skyworld with Palutena before the original Kid Icarus) but a lot of stuff came up during the week and I got kind of stressed, so I made the project a little simpler to cope with that. Besides, I doubt I could have made the snake hair correctly since I'm generally bad at drawing animals. The picture quality here is low because I forgot to double the size of the vectors before I exported, but it still looks okay from a distance. Palutena's original design probably would have matched the setting of this picture better, but I preferred to just make her Uprising appearance again despite it not being what she'd actually wear during this point in the Kid Icarus timeline.
