Welcome to Orre

This is a highly nostalgic picture for me. Pokemon Colosseum was my first Pokemon game and I have a lot of good memories from it. I based this picture almost directly off of the first playable part of the game where you head to the Outskirt Stand and have a fight with the world's most pathetic trainer: Rider Willie and his two zigzagoons. Of course, in the game the battle takes place moments after the truck with Rui takes off, but seeing as how Wes walked right up to that truck and didn't notice there was a kidnapped girl aboard, I guessed that if the truck had been there during the fight nothing would have changed. You never see Rui tied up in-game but as soon as she calls for help one of the goons that nabs her explicitly says that she was previously gagged with tape, and gags generally don't work unless the victim is restrained. I'd say it's a safe assumption that Rui was tied up inside the bag but escaped on her own.

This picture should have been done days ago, but I started a playthrough of the original Pokemon Sapphire and that took away from a lot of my drawing time. Perhaps that explains why I've been mostly inactive all week. I had fun with a lot of the little details in this picture, such as the fact that Rider Willie appears to be digging out the money he owes Wes for losing to him or the way Wes is holding one of his Pokemon. I also figured that since Rui is trapped in a heavy bag that's exposed to desert heat she should be really hot by now, and some sweat and flush was required to finish the scene. My favorite part of the picture is actually not the cute, tied-up girl in the bag; it's definitely Wes! He turned out really attractive, which was slightly difficult since his in-game model looked kind of strange. I thought about adding both of Willie's zigzagoons and perhaps Wes's bike but I didn't really have room without crowding the picture.
